Really awesome meal here. I had the Sushi Regular . Seven mixed pieces and a tuna roll. The sushi was excellent. Some of the best I've ever had. Perfect texture. Simply incredible. I highly recommend this spot.

We got some sushi take-out from here last week, and it was GREAT! I got to try the spicy tuna roll, yellowtail scallion roll, unakuy roll (eel), fire cracker roll, red snapper sushi, smoked salmon sushi, and the gyoza, All of my rolls were good, but I especially liked the fire cracker roll. The crispy topping and hot sauce should be served on every roll, ever! It's delicious. The gyoza was a little too greasy and tough for me, though I usually prefer steamed dumplings as opposed to fried ones, so it could just be my personal preference. Overall I was very happy with my meal here... give it a shot!

We ordered take out for three the other night. Six delicious rolls, monkey brain, fried tofu, and edamame. I have a low spice tolerance, so the spicy sauce brought the heat for me. Everything was really delicious. Great rainbow roll! And it was all ready for pick up just 20 minutes after I placed the order!

Still one of the best Sushi spots around. The tamago is frozen (bad) but the Spicy Tuna Balls are great and the sashimi is solid. The last time I went I tried a specialty roll (can remember the name) for $14.95 (ouch) and the hamachi sashimi app. (YUM!). Ask for sauces on the side if you prefer. Sushi chef Sam is very nice, too. I'm still a fan!

I was in the area for work and looking for a place that's not too heavy and also fast. The other options in Newtown Sq would be Italian or Hoagie. I couldn't exactly afford having a food coma so sushi sounds good. They have great lunch menu options. My coworker had the bulgogi lunch box and he finished it in no time. It came with some fried dumplings and salad. The sushi and sashimi lunch special had standard sushi cuts and seemed fresh but didn't surpass my expectation. Service was quick and friendly. The dining room was maybe a quarter full. There were a couple of large asian parties having lunch. I'll consider this again when in the area.

I admit I've only been here once, but it was the day I got engaged so I remember it well. I had a great, memorable experience, but was too busy to leave a review then, so that's why I'm here now. We sat at the sushi bar, ordered an appetizer, and split a chef's specialty thingy of sushi/sashimi for two. Watching the chefs make our food reminded me why I didn't make sushi at home more often - it was kind of painful watching them painstakingly throwing out perfectly good shredded cucumber or ends of a sushi roll... I would have just snacked on them while I made my sushi, but I do appreciate the attention to detail. As part of our chef's special selections of sushi, they asked if we like wasabi (uh, yeah, we love it) and we found out why when out came a little bowl (inside half a lemon) of raw octopus. The rest of the food were good, great even, but you don't get a mini bowl of tiny tentacles and suction cups everyday, not at just a random sushi place on the Main Line. We haven't had the chance to go back yet - it was a spontaneous decision to try it that auspicious day because we were passing by while slightly hungry and have heard good reviews, but definitely would eat there again.

Ordered take out and was not impressed. Wife got the sashimi deluxe and I got 2 specialty rolls - TNT and Kiss of Fire. The specialty rolls were okay, but they are small like one of the side ordered tuna roll. The sashimi platter wasn't the best either and you can taste it in the tuna and salmon - 2 of the most common fish that you can't get wrong. We use the quality of these as basis for any sushi restaurant we go to. Overall it was just par if not less and most likely we will not be a returning customer.

I would like to say that I actually got to experience Yuki Sushi's sushi, but they didn't even give me an opportunity to order. My husband passes Yuki Sushi everyday on the drive home so he suggested we get take out from there. I called several times between 5pm and 5:15pm to place an order, but no answer. The phone just rang, and rang, and rang. It was a big disappointment since I was craving sushi by this point. If you advertise opening for service at 5pm, then you should be open at 5pm.

Well I'm not sure what more to add on here. I find nothing wrong with the decor, seems they are going for a modern contemporary Asian theme. It is BYOB, maybe the music could be better but not the reason I'm there. The menu has a lot of variety for traditional Asian platters, sushi and sashimi. Every time we've ordered the food is very fresh, expertly prepared and of top quality. If i have one minor complaint, the rice in the sushi falls out very easily and doesn't hold well, so it eats a little messier than some of my other favorite sushi joints, which are NOT in this area. On the other hand the seaweed salad is exceptional and the spicy tuna rolls are off the charts. The service and staff have always been friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I've never had to wait, for seating or take out.

Overpriced for ok food. The only thing I liked about this restaurant is they have one or two Korean items On their menu too.

Not much to say about Yuki Sushi. Just good all around The waiter that I had knew my boyfriend (because he went there frequently with his family) and was very nice, knowledgable & accommodating. Good service, no complaints there. As for ambiance, we went at an odd hour. Just us and another table there so I can't speak for what it's like on a busy night. We had a nice table for two by the window. It was freezing in the restaurant, but better be cold than hot in my opinion. For food we ordered fried shrimp gyoza, the tofu appetizer that I can't remember be name of, the SMS roll and California roll. And bubble tea. Everything was really delicious. It was given to us really quickly and every ingredient tasted fresh. They also have bubble tea here! My only complaint about that is that it's more of a smoothie consistency than a tea consistency. But the waiter warned us about that so I can't be upset. Very good overall. Would definitely come back.

Visited: Tuesday - September 10, 2013 - Noon On August 31, 2013, I ordered $68.00 worth of "take-out" sushi for three people based purely on glowing Yelp reviews. We were NOT disappointed. I returned for lunch because of the positive experience on August 31. This time, I dined in-house and alone. The ubiquitous sushi bar is present, as one enters the eatery. I was greeted and immediately seated. It is a clean, "eye-friendly" facility. The menu features the standard fare and average pricing. I chose the Sushi Combo (five pieces of tuna, salmon, white fish, shrimp, and eel with six pieces of California rolls) for $12.95. Miso soup and a small salad accompanied the meal. The service was unremarkable but, satisfactory. Another excellent experience.

Steady Eddy sushi joint. No fusion, just sushi. I come here every few months, service and food stay the same. Had the Philly, Arizona, Double Crunch, and tuna tartar. All as I've come to expect.

I've now eaten here twice. Once shortly after they opened, and now last night on a take out order. Food quality, they're a very solid 4 stars. The sushi rolls I had were pretty darn good overall. I will say that a couple of the rolls were a little small, for instance the Tropicana Roll which given the list of ingredients I did not expect to be so small. Also, the Double Crunchy Roll was more soft than crunchy. Perhaps it lost its crunch on the car ride home, but for $13.95 I don't expect that. Also, the Harumaki appetizer was pretty small for $5.95. But taste wise, no complaints. I would eat here again. Now here's my complaint. My order was a takeout order which I called in advance. They had it ready when I arrived. It was packed tightly in paper bags which were stapled shut. it was a big order close to $70. Perhaps I should have made sure to double check it. But after seeing how tightly it was packaged, I decided not to go through the hassle at the front desk. I decided to trust them, and took it home. Got all the way home to Glenolden, opened up the package, and was surprised to find that the Shrimp Tempura appetizer I ordered, which was clearly labeled "Shrimp Tempura" on the white box it came in with handwritten pen, had no shrimp whatsoever. Yep, I got all the way home and figured out that I got Vegetable Tempura instead. Maybe I should have checked the order, but that doesn't take away the fact that Yuki screwed it up. Heck, they were even able to write it on the box correctly. (I ate it anyway... at least it was pretty good) So, Yuki Sushi, according to the price differential, you now owe me $2.

Our favorite sushi place in Delaware County. Everything fresh and the staff is wonderful and so accommodating. I love that they are a BYOB. Our favorite is the Volcano roll and the monkey brains is ALOT better than it sounds ;)

The best sushi around!! Fresh salads, soups, and sushi! The waitstaff are so accommodating and friendly. I've eaten at other well-known sushi places in Philly and New York, and this place is way better! You will not be disappointed!

Our favorite sushi spot in the area. Great service, fantastic selection and a warm atmosphere. A la carte sushi reasonably priced and always excellent quality. Yuki is the only sushi place in the area that consistently delivers a fantastic experience.

What an unbelievable experience. The best things in life are the things you have to find! This restaurant is located on 252/Newtown St, hidden in some weird shopping center. It's definitely worth the journey! The Maki Sushi is THE best Maki I've ever tasted! Unbelievable. At first I thought the pricing for the special rolls were a little expensive, but WHAT THE HECK, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! I ordered four special rolls for the lady and I, but I forgot what their names were. Boy, boy, boy...... You definitely get what you pay for. DEEEEE-LISHHH. The only negative aspect about the restaurant was the service. My wife thought our waiter was "Handsome". I think I'll come here alone next time. Just joking! Great service, Great food, Great restaurant!

Consistently good. We have been treating ourselves to sushi from here for over a year now. It is isn't teikoku or pod... but it is certainly above average sushi that is the best in the area!

I tried this place for dinner several months ago and have been meaning to write a review. We ordered the sushi love boat with sushi and sashimi, and it was pretty good and fresh. The restaurant was very busy, which is a good sign for a sushi place. Order the green tea ice cream for dessert.

Good, quality sushi at descent prices. Tried some sushi & udon here for lunch recently & liked the menu variety. Sushi - they have all the basic types/varieties, and some special rolls (not tried). The fish is fresh & tasty but not outstanding. Udon was tasty & filling, perfect for a cold day. Decor is very nice, not what one would expect from a strip-mall sushi place in the burbs. Though I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, if you're in the neighborhood, or driving by, it's a good option.

Although I knew this place had been there for a while, this was the first time I gave them a whirl. There are not too many sushi choices out in the suburbs, and I have been to so many sushi restaurants in Philadelphia that it is difficult for me to find one I like outside the city. This is a decent place to go to if you are in a pinch stuck in the suburbs and really want sushi. I have only had take-out, but the service I received while placing my order was very good. The restaurant itself looks like it has great atmosphere, and while I was waiting for my food it seemed that a good amount of 'regulars' came in to dine. I only ordered maki rolls, but all were good enough to fill my hunger. It was not the most fresh tasting fish like I have had at other places, but the taste was not too bad for each roll. I will probably give them a try again when I know I will not be heading into the city any time soon, and really have a craving for some maki rolls.

Update: Went again for anniversary. Placed order. My significant other got their meal about 25 minutes before me because the waiter messed up. He needs to work on his people skills as well - unprofessional in conversation and choice of words. Wasn't deducted from the check. Gave a small ice cream plate to make up for it which didn't work. Sorry, anniversary dinner was ruined.

I love this place, the service is phenonomenal and the food is excellent and I'm a regular there at least once a week. Sushi is fresh and I always take the waiter's recommendations on the fish of the day. The rolls range from small to large depending on how creative you like to get. The sashimi is fresh and tasty. The New Year roll is good with scallop and fresh greens, interesting and spicy. Yellowtail and salmon sashimi is the best. For those that want something fried, ask for the rock shrimp tempura appetizer which isn't on the menu but they will still make, crunchy and delicious. Highly recommend this cute and cozy BYO.

Two words: food poisoning. Within 5 minutes of eating their house salad with ginger dressing. I should've known when they seem to not clean their wooden chopsticks very well, and I had to ask to have my plate changed due to food pieces still left on the dish. I couldn't even eat the sushi. I will not come back.

There is nothing special about this establishment. The decor is ok but lacks any kind of vibe at all. The waitstaff are not overly helpful relative to suggesting anything at all that might make the experience special, The fish was presented in a fairly attractive manner. I'm not sure what they did with the white tuna but it wasnt right. The rice was not well prepared and frankly that's the test of a good sushi chef. I wouldnt go back because I can get this quality at Genuardi's. See my previosu review of Morimoto for a review of great sushi.

I tried Yuki Sushi for lunch. We were the only table in there around 2:30, which is the end of their lunch service. The menu has plenty of great rolls to choose from. The two we had were recommended by the waiter and were very good (volcano roll and double crunchy roll). The only disappointment was our appetizer. We ordered a tuna tartar and it came out in a ball which was still frozen in the middle. We each took one bit and when the waiter came around told him we didn't like it very much and it was still frozen. Needless to say we were a little surprised when it was still in the bill. Other than that I would go back and try a dinner service and some other rolls.

We recently came here since we were craving good sushi and it's not easy to find it in the burbs. And what a gem it is! The ambiance is nice - feels open with lots of light. But the best part about it is the amazingly fresh sushi. My husband and I both love sake (salmon) sashimi and both times we've come, it's been incredibly fresh. The rolls are great too - double crunchy roll and kami kaze are our favorites. The restaurant is never that busy although it should be. I haven't had sushi this good, and at such a good price, in a while. By far the best outside of downtown Philly. It's also BYOB which saves you $ in the long run. Only did 4 instead of 5 stars (altho I would give 4.5 if I could) because we bought the chicken for our 15 month old son and it was a bit hard/dry. But the sushi is amazing and that's what counts. Our new favorite restaurant in the burbs!

This place in an unassuming strip mall, but has some of the best maki I've ever eaten. The staff is super friendly and they always treat you like you are the only people in the restaurant. Did I mention it's a BYOB? That gets you more sushi for the money!

My wife is always up for sushi, but we hadn't gotten it since moving to Delco last year. So it was time for a date night and after some research I chose Yuki Sushi. It turned out better than I could have expected, and I had high hopes. The wife was in her sushi glory as each roll produced satisfying groans and mmmms. I sampled a little of each and all were tasty (though I do drown my sushi in soy sauce and wasabi so I'm not exactly an expert) and at a good value. We also split some miso soup and seaweed salad - both very good. I got as an entrée the yaki udon. I don't think I'd ever had this particular kind of noodle. It was fantastic - the texture was perfect and the sauce was tasty without being overly salty or overwhelming the dish. The service was very attentive and the atmosphere was conducive for a couple or a group. Also conveniently located for before at the regal down the street.he only thing negative about the experience was the pop music was a little loud and out of place for the look and feel of the restaurant, but that's really being picky. In all at least 4 out of five and I'd give it 4 - 1/2 if I could.

Great dinner out tonight! Went just to try the rolls, but the rest of the menu looks fantastic! Price is right, service was great and the food was fantastic! Thrilled to see another local restaurant open in town instead of more chains!

Left a great review a couple years ago and I'm leaving a review for takeout now. The lunch special is a great option for a great deal! I got the sushi combo. $16 total for a seaweed salad (comes with house salad I paid a little extra for seaweed) , miso soup, a California roll and 6 pieces of sushi. Packed neatly with all the utensils and sides I needed without having to ask. I think it's a great amount of delicious food for the price.

I came here with my brother and gf, as we were looking for another Japanese restaurant in the area to go to besides Teikoku. We went on a Sunday evening and the place was pretty empty. At first I thought the place was closed because the parking lot was empty. It was around 6pm so maybe we were eating a little earlier than most people. As we were leaving, the restaurant filled up some but was still kind of empty. The decor and setting was a bit odd. The place looked for the most part asian but there were colored LED lights behind the wall glowing that made me feel like I was at a karaoke place. Also, they were playing trendy music instead the traditional more calming asian music. I think either the manager or owner is a bit confused as to what theme and feel they wanted to achieve. The water was really nice and very well respectful of us. Unfortunately, two of the items we ordered were not available [Tako yaki (baked Japanese dumpling), inari ( tofu pouch)]. It's the weekend and still early during dinner time, I would've expected better preparation from the kitchen. But the udon noodles and the sashimi/sushi platter we ordered were really good. The fish tasted really fresh. I would consider coming here again in the future to test their foods and service again. Overall it was a great first impression. Food quality like some have stated is pretty good....
